Physiotherapy While on STD
Short-Term Disability (STD) provides income replacement if you’re temporarily unable to work due to illness, injury, surgery, or recovery (including after a motor vehicle accident or joint replacement).
In Ontario, STD benefits are typically offered through employer insurance plans (not through OHIP or WSIB). Coverage usually begins after a waiting period (often 7 days) and can last up to 15 to 26 weeks, depending on the plan.
